I'm Dwight Crump and I own and operate Sampson Creek Outfitters. I have guided hunters off and on for years but for the most part I have made my living as a drywall contractor. Building has been so slow for the last couple of years that I have been doing a lot of soul searching to figure out what I wanted to do for a living.
Ever since I was a little boy I have always wanted to be an outfitter, so I decided to make this my full time job. One thing that I can tell you about myself is that when I'm awake I am thinking about hunting and when I'm asleep I am dreaming about hunting, so why not make my living doing what I love.
I will do everything in my power to make your hunt successful and enjoyable. I have been on guided hunts that I was very disappointed with. I wasn't disappointed because I didn't harvest an animal. I was disappointed because the guide didn't give 100% effort. I don't base the success of a hunt on killing an animal but on the whole experience, and if the guide gives 100%, then I will leave happy, whether I harvest an animal or not. I hope that anyone that hunts with me will feel the same way. I will always give you 100% effort. |
